Overview
Protecting the environment and tackling climate change are two of the major challenges currently facing transport policymakers around the world. In this context, the development and design of environmentally friendly vehicles is of particular significance.
For this reason, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs will, as part of the German G8 Presidency, host the 3rd International Environmentally Friendly Vehicles (EFV) Conference in Dresden.
The EFV Conference will be a contribution to the issue of "Tackling climate change and improving energy efficiency - a challenge and issue of vital importance to the world economy". Here, the road transport sector has an important role to play in conserving energy resources, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and tackling climate change.
