Overview
The objectives of the training are: To improve the understanding of global mobility issues - To present and discuss “hot” topics of public transport - To approach public transport issues from an international perspective - To promote exchange between UITP members Methodology Each module consists of presentations covering a whole subject from a general point of view (eg. innovative funding methods) followed by international case studies based on concrete results illustrating the different topics (eg. London’s congestion charging). To foster exchanges between the participants, the programme is made up of workshops.
It is an excellent occasion to share experiences with other participants but also with instructors. To provide optimal training conditions, there is also a social programme intended to facilitate interaction between participants. The training would not be complete without a technical visit and training material, this is why UITP sends a specific thematic dossier on each training topic before each module and a CD ROM after each Module. Participants also receive a binder including the trainers’ and guest speakers’ presentations on the spot.
