For the research theme 'City 2030' a competition of ideas has been held that led to the selection of 21 cities and conurbations across Germany, from a total of more than 100 participating municipalities. These selected cities and regions now represent the 21 main projects in the programme, which are accompanied by another 41 supporting tasks.
