Overview
Objectives
Reliability methods and risk assessment will be applied in the project together with the finite element methods for research and testing of innovative road safety barriers.
Methodology
On the basis of applied research it will be designed a road barrier with higher safety parameters. Theoretical procedures and simulations will be used to specify adequate reliability level of these barriers.
This methodology will be used for extension of crash tests validation and also for assessment of their possible replacement by calculations.
