Overview

Objectives

The main aim of the project is to discover a method suitable for boat cruise real time speed measuring, applied in geometry arrangement of two moving bodies, including specification of measure techniques applicable for positioning differences. The method should be applicable for legal boat cruise speed acquiring, for the purpose of traffic rules supervising of inland navigation in the Czech Republic, similar to radar-speedometer.

Results

The main output of the project was the Methodology of the measuring of the boat cruise speed on the waterways. It provides procedures how to measure speed of the boats. The methodology provides two sub procedures - 1. Measurement of boat speed by camera system mounted on a remote-controlled carrier and 2. Measurement of boat speed by laser scanner.
