Development of LNG/L-CNG network in Finland
Overview
Objectives:
The proposal is a pilot action which seeks to identify and study the optimal solution for an LNG/L-CNG network and supply chain in Finland.
Located on the North Sea-Baltic corridor and Scandinavian-Mediterranean corridor, the action is not part of a Global Project. The lessons learned from the studies shall be the basis for building a comprehensive network, in particular for heavy duty vehicles in Finland, as the optimal technical and commercial solutions are expected to be clarified during the action.
Methodology:
The action consists of one study, deployment and testing of four LNG/L-CNG refuelling stations in different urban parts of Finland. As this technology is new in Finland, the purpose is to gain operating experience (e.g. vehicle user interface), while trying out different technical configurations and operating aspects as well as proof the selected concepts.
