Overview

Objectives

The project aims to build a modern specialised virtual laboratory for a new university educational program "Electromobility". Different advanced teaching methods are suggested within the project, that integrate theoretical knowledge into practical application directly into mechatronic systems in vehicles with electric drive (electric vehicles). Specific software products will be prepared for the possibility of modelling and simulation of virtual models of electric vehicles of various kinds for individual topics of the courses. To promote specialised training and a new methodology in the study program Electromobility, this project will support processing of a new modern study literature and creating a dedicated virtual laboratory with innovative facilities for theoretical and practical training courses. These courses are aimed at smart mechatronic systems used in electromobility systems with links to the new drive systems of vehicles using virtual prototyping. The project will include new study materials processing, writing scientific monographs, creating innovative websites, publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation at scientific conferences. The dedicated virtual laboratory will be equipped with educational mechatronic modules for teaching and learning sophisticated technology. The proposed project is fully consistent with the strategy of the applicant organisation and will be one of the key projects of the Department of Applied Mechanics and Mechatronics of the Slovak University of Technology.

Results

The project resulted in building of a specialized virtual laboratory for prepared study program Electromobility. In this project are proposed advanced teaching methods, that integrate theoretical knowledge into practical application directly into virtual prototyping of mechatronic systems in vehicles with electric drive (electric vehicles).

The project includes new study materials processing, writing scientific monographs, creating innovative websites, publication in peer-reviewed journals and participation in scientific conferences. Dedicated virtual laboratory is equipped with education mechatronic modules for teaching and learning sophisticated technology.
