Overview
ENDURANCE answers to the IEE-call to “assist cities and regions with developing SUMPs by facilitating networking, mutual learning and sharing of experience and best practise across countries”.
ENDURANCE provides this facilitation by building 25 national networks and an overarching European network organisation. But ENDURANCE will not build the networks from scratch; instead it offers the existing EPOMM organisation as a basis. This is possible, as the ENDURANCE consortium contains EPOMM and its network of national networks on mobility management in currently 20 European countries.
This network has a whole range of already existing network facilities, that will be extended and modified to support SUMP, and especially mutual learning and sharing on SUMP. The main target groups of ENDURANCE are urban mobility professionals, cities and national authorities.
Their main benefit are efficient and enduring support structures for SUMP. They will endure, because the full network structures will be maintained by EPOMM beyond the end of ENDURANCE.
