Overview

Objectives:

There is increasing interest in encouraging the more active involvement of the private sector in financing and operating transport infrastructure projects, especially Trans-European Network (TEN) projects.


The purpose of the current project is to develop adequate and realistic financing schemes for TEN infrastructure projects, including, but not confined to, approaches based on Public-Private Partnerships.

  • High-speed train (Paris-Brussels-Cologne-Amsterdam-London)
  • Motorway tolling in Spain, Greece and Hungary
  • Oresund rail/road bridge between Denmark and Sweden
  • Betuwe line (conventional rail/combined transport link from Rotterdam to the German border
