Overview
For all generations, unrestricted individual mobility is crucial for social exchange and participation. A self-determined life in old age therefore requires support in coping with distances.
Due to their complexity, large infrastructures such as train stations and airports are often perceived by senior citizens as a high barrier. The PASS project aims to remove these barriers and increase the willingness of senior citizens to travel. By combining technology and services, the aim is to create an offer for seniors that claims to remove all barriers to older people on a journey using multiple modes of transport.
A navigation system for senior citizens is designed to cover the entire mobility chain from your own front door to your destination - also within the airport or train station. It is important that the overall system can be adapted to the personal requirements of a user. Individual restrictions, e. g. limited fitness, can be adequately cushioned. The PASS system is based on an information technology infrastructure that processes complex information in a user-friendly manner and displays it on a mobile device.
