Progressive solution of the bridge silent expansion joint with low noise level and intelligent elements

The research goals:

1. Analysis of expansion joints types and their faults

2. Design of the solution for a new type of the expansion joint, satisfying the requirements on the silent behaviour.

3. Design of the transition zone resistant against degradation and intelligent elements system.

4. Experimental verification of the joint components in the laboratory.

5. Fabrication of the prototype and placement on the experimental bridge structure. Utility model registration.
