Overview
Research and development of energy-saving solutions in the field of urban public transport is oriented the introduction of the electric buses, which are like the trolley locally emission-free vehicles. The result should decrease the energy costs per 1 km, for only 30% and reduce emissions in cities. The aim of the project is to develop and build prototypes of high capacity electric buses to replace their transmission capabilities of existing diesel buses of 12 and 18 m. The project will target the maximum relief body weight through the use of high-strength and unconventional materials. Furthermore, by optimising the size of the traction batteries follow-up of type of charging infrastructure and rapid frequency during working shift, or using a suitable range extender.
