Results

The project produced following results:

Study of psychological characteristics of drivers

This study provides a brief overview of  psychological characteristic of drivers. The study serves as a base of knowledge for further experiments and  for creation of methodology for training of professional drivers in the field of ITS.

Base of knowledge – influence of modern technologies on drivers

Base of knowledge in the field of influence of modern technologies placed in vehicles on different drivers groups.

Aesthetic design of acoustic barriers

A document  summarizing information about designs of acoustic barriers.

Influence  of transport environment on behaviour of drivers

The study explores understablity  of animated pictograms.  Animated pictograms could in the future  play important role as  transport signs on EU road infrastructure. Animated pictograms are not prohibited by law so there could be worked out a methodology for using of  animated pictograms in the form of variable transport signs

In depth interviews about possibilities for penetration of ITS in transport market.

Survey was held to gain key information for creation a policy tools supporting penetration of intelligent systems in transport market.  The main result of this study was to gain  knowledge and  experience of various transport experts to find best strategies for enhancing of ITS among their users.
