Overview

Background & Policy context

Transport and sustainable development are undoubtedly linked to each other. The fact that the car is the most commonly used transport mode has obvious negative effects on the environment. The predictions for car use do not promise an immediate change in this evolution. Passenger transport (to which we limit this project) and the expected future developments are a burden to the sustainable development of our society.

Objectives

Bringing together important projects and leading (scientific) partners in the field of sustainable transport, the project aims to share, disseminate and validate scientific knowledge that exists within the clusterpartner's organizations.

Methodology

The expertise involved in the project can be structured into the following topics, which are directly linked to sustainable transport: emission modelling, activity-based modelling, data consolidation modelling, demography.
