Overview
The agglomeration transport and settlement programmes are supported from 2008 under the so-called infrastructure funds from the federal government. These funds enable to subsidy the transport infrastructure in agglomeration.
The aim of the project is to issue an independent second opinion and to provide technical support to the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications in the field of its work.
30 agglomeration programmes submitted in late 2007 by the Federal Office for Spatial Development to examine the requirements and assess the effectiveness. The result of this examination forms the basis for the application of the Federal Council to Parliament for approval of reserved infrastructure funds for urban transport form.
The Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications that is responsible for the implementation of audit and evaluation of these agglomeration programs will be complemented and supported by an external team of experts.
A team of experts will support the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications in evaluation of 30 agglomeration programmes.
