Overview

Objectives:

The Action's overall objective is to foster Electric Vehicles use across Central Europe in creating a core backbone infrastructure, and significantly contribute to the implementation of the European alternative fuels strategy.

The Action consists of a study and a real-life pilot deployment of multi-standard fast charging points on the TEN-T Core Network in the Czech Republic along the Orient/East-Mediterranean, Baltic-Adriatic and Rhine-Danube Core Network Corridors. It will deploy 60 fast charging points at an interval no longer than 60 km (on 29 locations) and one Battery Assisted Fast Charging Site (BAFCS) with three additional Fast charging points, connected to an energy storage system and a source of renewable energy.

The Action will ensure interoperability in terms of roaming and customer service management and builds on an ongoing CEF action in the country so as to allowing for long distance and barrier free travelling for EV users. Overall, the Action contributes to decarbonisation and roll-out of alternative fuels in the EU.
