Overview
Construction of bridge edges, durability and maintenance requirements depend on many conditions. Large amount of specialties shall be taken into account such as the preservation of concrete structures, the security relating to the accidents, the system sealing and coating, fixing and bridge drainage, winter maintenance, road cleaning and more frequently the noise emissions.
The research analyses the decisive aspects related to the structural design of the bridge edges. There are established decision bases for the use of standardized bridge edge design.
