Overview

Background & Policy context

The Tallinn E265 ring road (part of the TEN-T Comprehensive Network) is the road connecting two TEN-T Core Network roads (E67 and E263) with the Tallinn bypass. This road infrastructure is key to reach the Estonian ports of Muuga and Paldiski.

Objectives

Through this Action, the road infrastructure will be equipped with full scale dynamic traffic management system and connected with smart (safe and secure) truck parking areas.

Methodology

Dynamic traffic and truck parking solutions will be integrated to the existing traffic management centre of the Estonian Road Administration. To prepare the pilots and follow up implementations, a dedicated transport and ITS study will be carried out before physical actions.
